Mary Donaldson

Mary Ann Donaldson was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She transitioned from this earthy realm on, Friday, September 17, 2021 at her home in Kansas City, MO, at the of age 72.

She was born in Warren, Oklahoma on, December 2, 1948 to Samuel Donaldson and Mary E. Green-Maynard. At an early age she moved to Kansas City, MO where she remained for the rest of her life. She graduated from Lincoln High School class of 1967.

She began work for K.C. University of Bio Science as Cook Supervisor where she worked for 35 years retiring in 2015. In her spare time, she loved her retail therapy. She also loved home interior decorating, making flower arrangements, and helping family and friends. She loved family gathering.

She was preceded in death by: her father, Samuel Donaldson; mother, Mary E. Green-Maynard; her three brothers, Timothy Jones, Leonard Maynard, and Carl Maynard, Jr; her five sisters, Emma Jones, Harriet Wheeler, Barbara Broadway, Henryetta Gunn, and Patricia Cook; and granddaughter, Miesha Newman.

She is survived by: her three sons, Michael Newman of Kansas City MO, Paul Newman of Olathe, KS, and Aaron Newman of Kansas City, MO; two daughters, Inaambura Imani Newman (Yolonda) of Atlanta, GA, and Nicole Newman (Jerry Vaughn) of Kansas City MO; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
