Adam Shaw, Jr. Obituary

Adam Boxie Shaw Jr. (Bugg) was born on November 1st, 1960, in Kansas City, Kansas at KU medical center. He grew up attending school in the Kansas City Missouri school district and Southeast High School eventually obtaining his G.E.D. Adam attended Penn Valley Community College, receiving his certification and became a licensed diesel mechanic, obtaining employment later at the Kansas City Transportation Authority. He also trained at the Aviation Institute of Maintenace at one time. Adam Jr. joined Ebenezer African Methodist Episcopal Church in Kansas City, Missouri in 1997, baptized by Pastor Darryl Walker.

 Adam Jr. loved spending time with his family and having a good laugh. He enjoyed cooking, camping, fishing, and riding motorcycles. He was a member of the Kawboy’s Motorcycle Club. He had an appetite for great food, good music, and fun times. Bugg fathered 2 children with Marilyn Taylor. He was surrounded by loved ones when transitioning on May 14, 2023.

Adam Jr. was preceded in death by his 1st born, Kahlia M. Shaw.

He is survived by his 2nd, Marshaunna K. Shaw; and granddaughters Shalon R. Johnson and Sanaa K. Shaw-Hooker of Blue Springs; mother Beverly Smith (W. Chappell); father Adam B. Shaw (Cheryl); one brother Alan K. Shaw (Donna); 5 sisters Keshawn Cox (Damon), Kathleen D. Shaw, Cherie Burton, Sherri Smith-Hyler (Clyde), and Tanika Washington (Demond); devoted Aunts Janersia Childs (Daniel), Alyce Wilson, N. Joyce Bess, Marilyn Shaw and Shirley Lee; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. He also leaves to cherish his memories, a dear friend and caregiver, Linda Freeman.
