Zechariah Washington Obituary

“There are people that was born only to have a short life on earth but to have a everlasting impact throughout the generations” -Tupac Shakur

The Young god Zechariah Steven Washington passed away on May 23, 2023, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was on April 4, 2007 in Kansas City, Missouri to Eric Steven Washington and LaShawn Nicole Dorsey. He grew up in Kansas City, MO. He attended the Hogan Schools from Elementary to high school.

He is preceded in death by his father, Eric S Washington.

He played football with Coach Washington’s Dark Knights football league and basketball from flag to age 13. He was a young father. He had a child with Kierra Newton; a young lady he’s known since the 3rd grade, and he had a girlfriend named Dez. Zechariah was energetic like a true Aries, he was fun, loyal and charming. For such a young person, he was an old soul, like he’s been here before.

He had so many friends and important people and mentors in his life, he made his own lasting impression on people and as a result he was loved by many. He will be missed. The sun’s rays just got a little brighter and heaven made space for a young king.

He is survived by his mother, LaShawn Dorsey; son, Demere Newton Washington; his sisters, Ashley Washington Hunt, Shacouia Moore, Jalae Moore, Laurence Brown, Isaiah Washington, Simone Washington; Grandparents, Robert Dorsey, LoWanda Howard and Grandma Daisy Husband; Aunts Joanne Washington, Cedonia Frierson, Valencia Howard; Uncles, Raymond Washington, Rodney Frierson, and Quinton Howard, and a host of cousins in California Mississippi and Missouri.
