Willie Mae Boose, 77, passed away March 31, 2020 at the home of her sister Edna McNeely, in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born on June 21, 1942 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Johnny Manning and Helen Manning.
She moved to Sherrill, Arkansas in the early 1950’s where she attended school. In 1963 she relocated to Kansas City, Missouri where she worked for the Jones Store and Crown Center. She retired from Crown Center in 1963 and became a housewife.
Willie Mae was a loving, caring and outgoing person. She took pride in being a mother and raising her children.
Willie Mae enjoyed singing and dancing. She also found interest in going to the Bingo Hall, casinos, and playing cards with her family. She truly enjoyed life.
She was preceded in death by her father Johnny Manning; mother Helen Manning; late husband, Emmanuel Boose; son, Sammy Cockshell; brothers, Mack Manning, Arthur Manning, Henry Manning, Eddie Manning; sister, Dorothy Manning, Diane Manning; grandson, Antwan Wooden.
Willie Mae leave to cherish her memories her companion, Jerry Frazier; son, David Manning (Robert); daughters, Shirley Douglas (John); Wanda Sanders (Calvin), Gladys Hawkins (Steve), Linda Bowden, Joyce Martin (Terrence), Jeannette Marley (Desmond); brothers, Charles Manning, Ricky Manning, Ira Manning, Calvin Ray Manning; sisters, Johnnie Mae McGowan,, Edna McNeely, Mary Manning, Earsaline Phifer, Betty Reed, Ruby Manning-Myers. She also leaves behind 27 grandchildren, 70 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be Announced at a later date.
