William Gregory Poole was born August 8, 1948, in Kansas City, Missouri and placed by God in the loving arms and nurturing care of Beverly and Elbert Thompson, Sr.
Gregory was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri Public School System, and attended Central High School. He later received his GED and attended Penn Valley Community College.
Gregory was employed as an over the road truck driver, and held positions at Pony Express, and the Bendix Corporation. Gregory enjoyed playing chess and was known as an avid pool player.
Gregory accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and united with Jamison Temple CME Church, under the leadership of Reverend Dr. Faith A. Allan.
Gregory was preceded in transition, by his son Phillip Parks, parents Beverly and Elbert Thompson, Sr., Arthur Poole, Jr. and brother, Elbert Thompson, Jr.
On March 22, 2021, Gregory was ushered into God’s eternal presence, where he is safe in His arms.
He leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters, Denise Williams, and Terri Poole; two sisters: Debra Thompson-Porter, and Dr. Yolanda Thompson-Martin (Chris); and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, his companion Jackie Madison, other relatives, friends, and his beloved Jamison Temple CME Church Family.
