William (Billy) Hack passed peacefully from this life on September 9, 2021 at the Kansas City VA Hospital. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family and caregivers during the last days of his life. Billy was born on January 15, 1946 in Kansas City, MO to Robert Hack and Neoma Branham. He graduated from Manual High School in Kansas City, MO. Billy joined the United States Navy in September 1965 and served 4 years. During his time in the service he achieved the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class and was the recipient of the Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. After completing his service time, Billy began work for Corn Products Refining Company (Unilever) where he worked for 35 years and retired in 2001.
When he was not enjoying his family, he was an avid fisher, catching many fish that the entire family often enjoyed. Billy also loved hunting and camping. He was a sports fan, griller and outdoorsman. He lived a good life as a wonderful example to his friends and family. He leaves a legacy to be truly admired for those who had the pleasure of meeting him.
Billy was proceeded in death by his parents Robert Hack & Neoma Branham; his brothers Robert & Leon Hack; Granddaughter Jasma. He is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years Jean M. Hack; four children (and spouses): John (Michelle), William (Aisha), Rochelle, Rhonda (Rick) & Nicole; twelve grandchildren: Chris, Kesha, Jeffery, Ceaira, Janaisha, Jai, Janiyah, John Jr., Dominique, Darrick, Delsa & Sayuri; and 10 great-grandchildren. Billy is also survived by his brother Orville and sister Ethel (George).
He is also survived by a host of other relatives and close friends.
