Vickie L. Brittenum-Wayne, 64, passed away on, October 4, 2021, at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. She was born on, April 13, 1957, in Bartlesville, OK to Paige Inman Brittenum and Bobbie Jean Birch Little. She grew in Kansas City, MO and graduated from Paseo High School. After graduating she attended Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, MO for 1 year.
Her work experience included St. Luke’s Hospital, Philips Petroleum, and St. Vincent’s Daycare as a Teacher’s Aide. Vickie loved working with children. Vickie loved God, family, especially her grandchildren, good food, music dancing, was the social butterfly of the family, always spoke her mind, and never met a stranger. She was also involved in catering and headed the culinary committee at her church. Vickie developed a close personal relationship with the Lord and was a dedicated member of Transfiguration of Christ Church.
In 1985 she married Dwight Wayne, in Kansas City, MO. They were happily married for 36 years.
She was preceded in death by, her father, Paige Inman Brittenum; mother, Bobbie Jean Little; sister, Janice Birch Starks; grandmother, Velma Birch; and great-grandmother, Beulah Horton.
Left to treasure her memories are her husband, Dwight Wayne; children, Brittani Paigelle, Chloé Danielle, and Amber Denaé; siblings, Sharon Brittenum-Jones (Robert Jr.), Rhonda Brittenum-Hanna (Thomas), and Darrell Brittenum (Ann); grandchildren, Ambreen Kennedy, Kameron Patton, Aniyah Dickerson, and Ahmiley Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
