Vannetta Warren Obituary

Vannetta Darlene Warren passed away on 9/3/2020 at Advent Health Shawnee Mission in Overland Park, Ks. She was born on 12/31/1945 in Kansas City, Mo to Herbert Hadley Warren Sr. and Russia Eugenia Warren. She grew up in Kansas City, Mo where she graduated from Redemptorist School.  

After high school she worked at Hallmark Cards then went on to become a care giver for over 35 years. Vannetta loved to travel, shop, entertain and spoil her grandchildren. She recently went to Jamaica and had the time of her life. One of her greatest joys was being able to spend time with her family. She was a devout Catholic and dedicated her time to studying the Word. She was married to Paul Opuni Mensah for 20 years.  

She was preceded in death by her parents Herbert H. and Russia E. Warren; daughter Russia (Lady) Warren; son David Warren; brother Herbert Warren Jr., grandchildren Steven Warren Jr. Corey Hatton, David L. Brown and Brooklyn M. Musyoki.

She is survived by her spouse Paul Opuni Mensah of Overland Park, Ks; Children, Rodney C. Warren, Joseph C. Warren , Steven C. Warren Sr. , Zena M. Warren-Osoba (Lateef), Robin D. Warren, Kojo Mensah (Edna), Jean Mensah and Juliana Mensah; Sister, Ruthelle Abercrombie (Roosevelt); Grandchildren, Tamika L. Jones-McRae, Keana D. Hutton, Nicole M. Warren-Musyoki (Eric), Antonia Pulluaim; Jazmyn T. Warren, Steven C. Warren Jr, Joseph C. Warren Jr., Taylor Warren and Tyler Warren; great grandchildren; Brennen N. Musyoki, Jordyn Warren, Danielle Mensah, David Mensah,  TaJahnea L. Wright, DeAndre D. Hooker Jr., Drevion D. Hooker, TaJai L. McRae,  TaVianna McRae, Jordan Slayden, Alicia Slayden, Justin Williams and a host of other relatives and friends.
