Tyra Lee McCoy`

Tyra Lee McCoy was born October 19, 1968, in Kansas City, MO to the union of Walter Sr. and Betty Ross.

Tyra was the third of nine children. She was baptized at Grace Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor John Williams.

Tyra received most of her education through the Kansas City School District before moving to Arizona where she graduated from Peoria High School in 1987. She then attended community college where she studied law and criminal justice. Later she became employed at Ford Motor Company where she stayed for the last 21 years.

Tyra was a phenomenal mother to three children Jason, Shyla, and Boris Roston.

Tyra enjoyed spending time with her family, vacationing to the beach, and most of all spoiling her grandchildren.

Tyra was called home by our Heavenly Father on December 24, 2021. She preceded in death by her brother Carlos Ross; cousins, Keith Smith, and Lakeisha Smith; and uncles, Samuel Smith, and Clifford Smith.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory parents, Betty Ross and Walter Ross, Sr., and Kevin McCoy; children, Jason Roston, Shyla Roston, and Boris Roston; siblings, Pamela Wright, Cheryl (Roy) Marshall, Walter (Roxanne) Ross, Jr., Carla Hull, SirLee Ross, Bose Ross, and Zuriel Ross; grandchildren, Isaiah, Jayden, Tyrianna, Ma’Leiya, MaKyi, J’Ceion, Jhaise, and Rhyla; and a host of family and friends.
