Tonya Mack- Washington, 48, took Gods hand on July 21, 2021. She was born on September 10, 1972 in Kansas City, Missouri to Rosa Mack, and Michael Pearson. He father preceded her in death, as well as her paternal grandmother Willa Johns; paternal aunts: Tina and Patricia Johns; uncle: Bryan Johns and her maternal brother: Sylvester Green Jr., and grandfather: Ulysses Wright.
Tonya attended Santa Fe Elementary School, Maple Park Middle School, Winnetonka High School and graduated from Raytown High School. She attended Ottawa University where she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree. She worked at Big Erns in high school, and later worked at AT&T, Southwestern Bell, JP Morgan Chase, and was currently employed at Internal Revenue Service until her untimely death.
Tonya had five children, she married Edward Washington on September 2, 2006 and later divorced in 2011.
Tonya was known for her love of her family and doing things with her family. Everyone loved being around Tonya with her crazy laugh, her silliness with her jokes and crazy conversations. Tonya was very much loved by all who knew her. She was a caring and giving person and loved to help anyone in need. She loved running track and starred on the debate team in High School.
We will love you always Tonya and you will be severely missed by your family and friends. Life will not be the same without you, but you will always live in our heart and minds.
Tonya leaves to cherish her mother, Rosa Woods and father Sylvester Green(Marika); children: LaQuan Thompson (Riva); LaShaunna Thompson, Tavyn Washington, Tate Washington, Taryn Murray; grandchildren: Brandon Richards Jr., Braylen Richards, Kelis Richrads and Amir Thompson; sisters: Shareese (Green) Powell (AG), Tangie Cheatum, Nakia Clark; brother: Richard Green (Keva), Muhsin Henderson, Eugene Johnson; maternal grandparents: Bettye and Richard Williams; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
