Timothy Kelly Andrews, also affectionately known as “Big Tim” to his family and friends, was born to Glenda Griffin and Michael Jones on June 30, 1974 in St. Louis Missouri. He was the oldest of Glenda’s four children. His great grandmother: Georgio Hopkins, grandparents: Cleather and LeRoy Daniels, Uncle LeRoy “Junior” Daniels and his cousin LaToya Burchfield preceded him in death.
As a child, his great grandmother, who was an Evangelist, helped instill in him Christianity, family values, morals and merits. He moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1986 where he attended D.A Holmes Elementary School. Tim also attended Vanhorn High School and Westport Sr. High, before obtaining his G.E.D. For his post-secondary education, he attended DeVry University where he studied Accounting. Throughout Tim’s life, he worked at several jobs in Kansas City, like Iron Mountain Packing Company, Red Racks, and City Thrift as a district manager before deciding that he would begin entrepreneurship. He invested in real estate, along with several other ventures.
Tim was loved dearly. He was a people’s person, a very kind and intelligent individual who loved to indulge in conversations filled with wisdom, knowledge and encouragement, especially when it came to transitioning from the working class to entrepreneurship. He had a very big heart and he showed it by embracing his culture and helping those around him. Some of his favorite hobbies included swimming, cooking, playing video games and spending time with those he cared about.
