Teresa Witt

Teresa Witt was born September 18, 1944, in Augusta, Arkansas to Ilee Weatherspoon and Ruthie Mae Ferguson. She was the third child of eleven children born between Ilee and Ruthie Mae Weatherspoon. When Teresa was a young child, the family left Arkansas and moved to Kansas City, Missouri. Teresa was educated in the public school system of Kansas City. She attended and graduated from Paseo High school in 1962, where she met the love of her life, Lawrence Delano Witt.

After high school, Teresa was employed by BMA as a key punch operator. In 1964 Teresa and Lawrence were married in Edwardsville, Kansas. Teresa was also employed by TWA, and Bendix/Honeywell, where she retired.

Teresa is preceded in death by her parents, Ilee and Ruthie Mae Weatherspoon; siblings, Kenneth Weatherspoon, Vivian McKay, and Ilee Weatherspoon, Jr.

Teresa departed this life on January 19, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospice House.

Teresa leaves to cherish her memory her children, Lori Majors, Lawrence Witt II. and Larry Witt (LaFaye); grandchildren, Brandon White (Nicole), Brandi White, Ashley Montmorency (Michel), Darrian Witt, Dasia Witt, Randy McCallop, Dorian Watson, and Larry Witt II; great-grandchildren, Joeleen Gedcus, Audriana Renee-White, Jabari Bly, Ashton Montmorency, and Jordyn Nichols; siblings, Zelma Watkins, Larry Weatherspoon, Janice Jones (Bobby), Carolyn Pierce (Mark), Dwight Weatherspoon (Denise), Anthony Weatherspoon (Peggy) and Joseph Weatherspoon, Also, a whole lot of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends!
