Susie Parker Obituary

Susie Mae Parker made her transition to eternal life on September 16, 2020. She was born July 17, 1929 in San Antonio Texas to the union of Ethel and Robert Maddox Sr.Susie grew up in San Antonio Texas and later moved to Kansas City, Missouri which is where she started her career as a Dental Lab Technician. After retirement, she worked for Calvary Lutheran School where she cherished working with the babies. She enjoyed traveling all over the world, purchasing unique clothing, going to the casino, cooking, facilitating family and friend events, watching the KC Chiefs/Royals, game shows and old westerns. Most of all she enjoyed meeting people and getting to know a little about them. No one was a stranger!

She was a member of Mount Nebo Missionary Baptist Church and Straightway Baptist Church for many years. She later became a member and Mother of Emanuel Temple Church. She united in Holy Matrimony to Garland Parker Jr. and to this union four daughters were born.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Ethel and Robert Maddox Sr., daughters; Edith Thomas and Debra Hopkins, siblings Dorothy Maddox, Robert Maddox Jr., Eugene Maddox, Herbert Maddox, Elbert Maddox, and Willie James Maddox.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters: Rochelle Parker Kansas City, Missouri,

Phylencia Parker-Osborn (Anthony)Atlanta, Georgia, sister; Lou Ella Williams San Antonio, Texas. seven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, extended family, and friends.

Susie - Mother, Sister, Grandma, Aunt and Friend will be truly missed and remain cherished in our hearts forever!
