Obituary

Stephen Carvel Carter Jr., was born on April 12, 1992 to Stephen Carvel Carter Sr. and Coleene V. Bartlett-Carter. 

Stephen departed this earthly life on August 21, 2023. He was proceeded in death by his maternal grandmother-Eileen D. Bartlett-Doolin, paternal grandparents - Cecil and Earnestine Carter, uncles - Emmitt Carter, and Joseph A. Bartlett, aunts - Gayle Y. Carter, Jill M. Carter, and Glenda Thompson.  Stephen was educated in the Hickman Mills School Dist., Olathe School Dist., and KCMO School Dist.  Stephen completed the Audio Engineering Technician Program from the Workforce Central at the University of Central Missouri.  At a younger age, Stephen enjoyed playing sports and drawing art.

He had several jobs though out the city.  Stephen enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends.  Stephen had the biggest heart and always had a smile on his face and would do anything he could for anybody.

Stephen was known as "Loko Steve" for his music beats and a good writer. On August 10, 2013, Stephen became a proud father of a beautiful daughter - Christina Lashawn Marie Carter-Washington.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Coleene V. Carter, father Stephen C. Carter Sr. and stepmother Irma Carter; daughter Christina Lashawn Marie Carter-Washington, sisters; Stephanee Carter, and Sabrina Carter, brother; Carlos Carter, grandfather; Thomas E. Bartlett Jr., uncles; Ernest E. Carter, Cecil W. Carter, Timothy D. Carter Sr., Thomas E. Bartlett Ill, and Thomas Jenkins, aunts; Theresa Carter, Tina Burns-Carter, and Adreene Bartlett, great aunts and uncle and a host of cousins and friends.
