Shentell Denise Saulsberry, 42, Departed this life on July 9, 2020 in Kansas City. Missouri. She was born on December 6, 1977 in Kansas City, Missouri to Rodney Keith Sutherlin and Evette Marshelle Saulsberry.
She grew up in Kansas City, and graduated North Kansas City High School, and Don Bosco Center. After high school, Shentell attended Excelsior Springs Job Corp in Excelsior Springs, Missouri, where she received her license as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Shentell moved to Florida in 2000. While in Florida, she worked at Center Pointe Nursing Home. She returned back to Kansas City, and began working for Subway and Gates Bar-B-Q.
On July 4, 2003, brought into the world her son, Phillip Sion Harvey, Jr. Even though they were separated years later, she loved him with all her heart.
Shantell was the life of a party. She loved to dance to any music. She was a very straight forward, out spoken person. She loved to meet different people from everywhere, and those that she met would develop friendships that would be everlasting. You could call on Shantell for anything, and she would try her best to make sure you had what you needed. But most of all, she as a protector. Even though she is not here to be the protector, she will forever be our “Guardian Angel.”
Shantell is preceded in death by her mother, Evette Marshalle Saulsberry; and her grandmother, Merlene Sutherlin.
She leaves to cherish her memories her father, Rodney Sutherlin; her son, Phillip Harvey, Jr; her sister, Mequell Saulsberry, her nephew, LihTroye Saulsberry-McKnight, Jr; her grandmother, Patricia Johnson, and a host of other relatives and friends.
