Mr. Randy Cason, 67, passed away on January 4, 2021 at St. Luke’s East Hospital in Lee’s Summit. He was born on April 28, 1953 in Kansas City, Missouri to Nathaniel and Ruth Cason. He grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and graduated from Lincoln High School. At an early age he confessed his faith in Jesus Christ and attended St. Andrews United Methodist Church where he was a dedicated member. At St. Andrews, he served as Trustee, a member of the Finance Committee and church van driver. He was a mail carrier with the United States Postal Service for 38 years and retired in 2009. Randy’s talents were many, he was active member of the C & S Investment Club, coached women’s baseball team and played football. He enjoyed traveling with family to Las Vegas and Downstream Casino Resort. He enjoyed spending time with family, laughing, and was easygoing. “To know him was to love him.”
He was proceeded in death by his parents: Nathaniel and Ruth Cason; brother Nathaniel Cason; sister Patricia Smith; brothers-in-law Wilson Smith, John Beavers, and Charles Smith; sister-in-law Lynne Cason. He is survived by his loving wife Linda Cason, daughters Yolanda McKinzy (Lester), Keowa Norton (Cedric); six siblings Shirley Beavers, Janice Smith, William Cason (Bernice), Charles Cason (Artoria), Sylvia Brown (Dawn) and Lee Cason; four grandchildren Clarissa Washington, Lamazhanea Bowman, Ke’Vaughn Bowman and Ceyonna Norton; four great-grandchildren Nevaeh Henderson, Osiaun Fudge, Paris Wilson, Ca’Niyah Scott; five sisters-in-law, Sharon Kiboko, Veronica Watson-Perkins, Stephanie Watson, Malica Page and Charlene Cason and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
