Oscar Scott Johnson, Jr

Oscar Scott Johnson Jr. was born on November 12,1965, to the union of Oscar S. Johnson Sr. and Earnestine Johnson in Kansas City, Mo.

Oscar had many challenges in life, but he never let them stop him. He lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed two stepping and was exceptionally good at it. He was a people person and enjoyed spending time with family and friends playing cards and dominos. Oscar had a love for drawing, he could look at a picture and draw it. He started drawing at the Norman Center at an early age and his passion was passed on to his two great nieces, Ahmia and Ahnalia; they would sit and draw pictures whenever they were together.

Oscar entered Heaven's Gates on September 16,2022 surrounded by family. He was greeted at the gates by his father: Oscar S. Johnson Sr; brother: Derrick Johnson; sister: Carmen Johnson; nephew: Anthony Johnson; grandmothers: Bernice Johnson, and Lilly Dixon; grandfather: Ivory T. Johnson Sr; uncle: Theodore Johnson; and aunt: Zora (Pud) Flag.

His memories will be cherished by his devoted mother: Earnestine Johnson of KCMO; his daughter: Detara Lofton; granddaughter: Maleigha Lofton of OKC; his sisters: Victoria Jonson, and Bridget Johnson of Raytown, MO; brothers: Michael Johnson, Steven Johnson of KCMO, and Brian Johnson of Richardson, TX; nieces: Alexis Johnson, Petra Johnson, and Jazzmin Johnson; nephews: Marcus Johnson, Brandon Shears, Terrance Johnson, Tyree Johnson, Andre Johnson, Brain Johnson Jr., and Patrick Johnson; several great-nieces and nephews; aunts: Susie Slayden, and Debra Johnson; uncle: Ivory T. Johnson; close cousins: Raymond Johnson, Ezekial Newell, and Gregory Reed; special family/friends: Reggie Flagg, and the Locke family; and a host of family and friends who will cherish his memories forever.
