Nikki Leigh Del Percio died of natural causes at her home on June 1, 2020 in Kansas City, Missouri. She is survived by her family, including her parents, Lou Ann and Richard, and her three siblings, Rikki, Crissy and Chip. She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents and her beloved cousin, Josh Williams.
Nikki was a 1995 graduate of Ruskin High School. In 2000, she earned a B.A. in Communication Studies from the University of Kansas, and went on to obtain a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She used her education to work in finance and administration.
As the ultimate Elvis Presley fan, Nikki loved Las Vegas and poker in all forms. She read any pop culture autobiography on which she could get her hands, and had more knowledge of the mob than any one person should. Her pets meant everything to her, and she never met a dog she did not love.
Although this earth lost someone special, the Kansas Jayhawks are the ones who lost the most, as their biggest fan is no longer with them. Nikki loved sports, but KU basketball was always her favorite.
Known for her unique sense of humor, Nikki brought joy to those around her. She never failed to find the comedy in situations. She inspired the people she met in her life, as well as those that she only knew through social media. Although her life was at times difficult, she tried to make the best of everything that happened. She was loved by many and can never be replaced in this world. Nikki has finally found peace and would want nothing more than to be remembered for bringing happiness to everyone who was lucky enough to know her.
Rest well, sweet soul.
