He was preceded into death by his father, Nathaniel Rogers Sr.; mother, Loretta White-Rogers; maternal grandfather, Robert Brown; maternal grandmother, Zenobia Brown; paternal grandfather, James Rogers; paternal grandmother, Mable Rogers; father in-law, Wilmus Williams; three special aunts; Ginger Elbert, Nena Williams, Franzetta Richardson; two granddaughters, Jada McElwaine, Precious Williams.
Nathaniel Rogers, Jr. known as “Rusty” to family, friends, and anyone who knew him. He was educated in the Kansas City Missouri School District. He worked at Kansas City Parks & Recreation for 26 years until he retired on April 1, 2020. He accepted Christ at an early age. Rusty enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing dominos, listening to music, DJing, and dressing.
Nathaniel leaves to cherish his memories his lovely wife, Molly Williams Rogers; two sons, Dion Williams, Reginald Williams; three daughter, April (Bruce) Mack, Wilma (Walter) Wells, Ja’Net (Damon) McElwaine; two sisters, Rainey Rogers, Donna (Ceacel) Griffin; two brothers, David Rogers, Nate Rogers; eleven grandchildren; Koie Johnson, Tederria Hawkins, Dion Williams, Jr., Kiona Williams, Tiffany Williams, Dejan Rogers, Dymiah McElwaine, Damon McElwaine, Jr., Jabari McElwaine; eight great grandchildren; six special cousins, Lonnie (Sondra K) Williams, Cyreatha “T” (Glen), Rita (Frank) Jones, Marilyn Kelly, Daryl (Tina) Davis, Juanita Elbert; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
