Nathan Whitney Obituary

Nathan D. Whitney Sr, 61, passed away on February 10, 2021 at home, in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born on April 12, 1959 in Warrensburg, Missouri to Charles W. Anderson Sr. and Christine Williams.

He grew up in Warrensburg, Missouri and Kansas City, Missouri. He graduated from Warrensburg High School in Warrensburg, Missouri. After high school he studied Computer Science at Missouri Valley College, Marshall MO January 1988- July 1989, studied Computer Information systems at University of Central Missouri, Warrensburg, MO August 1989- May 1990, studied Bachelor of Science in Business Management at University of Phoenix Class of 2008, and studied Bachelor of Science in Business Management at University of Phoenix Class of 2017. He began working for the University of Kansas Hospital Marillac Campus as a Family and Youth Specialist II in May 2016 until health failed.

Nathan enjoyed fishing, playing softball and being with family and friends. He was a diehard Raiders and New York Yankees fan. He will be truly missed by us all.

He married Dominique Whitney on October 3, 2020 in Kansas City, Kansas.

He was preceded into death by Charles W. Anderson- Father; and Leonard Roscoe- step father.

He is survived by mother: Christine Roscoe; wife: Dominique Whitney; children: Ginger Sims (Ansley), Desiree Baker (Tony), Nathan D. Whitney Jr.; step- Children: Sierra Jackson, Demetrius Jackson (Averie); siblings: Carlotta Muse- NY, Rayford Whitney, Regina Bratton – VA, Charles W. Anderson Jr.- GA (Theresa), Maria Baker- GA (Anthony), Dimitri Brockman (Tina), Bridgette Anderson, Rhonda Brown, William Brown, Damon Brown, and host of grandchildren, and one great grandchild, and a host of other relatives and friends.
