Michael Gordon, 70, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully on April 4th, 2024, at Saint Luke's Plaza. He was born on November 1st, 1953, in Alexandria, Alaska, to Louis Isaac and Lily Mae Gordon.
Growing up in Kansas City, Missouri, Michael attended Southeast High School and later pursued further education at Job Corps in his hometown. He embarked on a career with Crown Center, where he dedicated many years as a maintenance worker, contributing to the upkeep of the community he called home.
Michael was a man of varied interests and passions. He found joy in sports, relished in the art of cooking, and found solace in his faith and church community. His circle of friends was wide, and his warm personality endeared him to many.
On March 8th, 1972, Michael exchanged vows with Josephine Watkins in Kansas City, Missouri, and they shared eight blissful years together. He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Isaac, his grandfather, Matthew Perkins, his grandmother, Mary Perkins, his sister, Linda Gordon, his brother, Louis Isaac Jr., and his grandchildren, K’yo Gilmore, Lee Anthony Johnson, and Cle’Shae Johnson.
Michael leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his mother, Lily Mae Isaac, his daughter, Clarissa Gilmore, step daughter, Michelle Watkins, his brothers Larry Isaac (Stephanie) and Nathan Isaac (Marilyn), his sister, Johnny Mae Gordon, his grandchildren, Jaleel Gordon and Elexus Gordon, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
