Maxine Coffey, 73, passed away on March 26th. She was born on Sept. 25, 1947 to Jimmie Clay and Maebelle (Young) Clay.
She graduated from Central High School in KCMO. After high school, Maxine worked for AT&T/SWB until she met her retirement eligibility. She then worked for Sprint until she retired at age 62. She married Edward Coffey Jr. in 1980.
Maxine was preceded into death by her husband, Edward Coffey Jr., her parents, Jimmie and Maebelle Clay and her sister Rosie Johnson.
She leaves, to celebrate her life, her brother Eddie Clay (Bonnie), her son Rodney (Anna) Clay, daughters Teresa (Dana) Moore and Tonia Potts; her grandchildren Robert Golston Jr., Kemhari Moore, and Steven Addison Jr. and great grandchildren Paige Golston and Peighton Wycoff. Her honorary children Michael Harrison, Arquetta (Anthony) Armstrong, Alisa Williams Tanner (Maurice) and Latrice Houston; and grandchildren Adam Williams Jr.(Monica), Shalisa Wings (Brandon), Trolisa Canada (Damon), Kadeisha Jackson, Michael Love and Mycah Houston, and 8 honorary great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews great and great great nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
