Lorene Y Booker-Antwine

Lorene Yvonne Booker-Antwine was born on September 15, 1951 at KU Medical Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas. Lorene’s parents are Billie Rue Booker and Geraldine Booker. Lorene was the oldest of four children. Lorene departed this life on May 21, 2020 at 11:40PM at Research Medical Center at the age of 68 years old. Lorene was preceded in death by her father, Billie Rue Booker, and her maternal Grandmother, Anna Pearl Bridges. Lorene attended the Kansas City, Missouri Public School system and graduated from Paseo High School in 1969. Lorene worked for and retired from Control Data as a System Analyst in 1994. Lorene joined Palestine Missionary Baptist Church of Jesus Christ at the age of 18 years old, under the leadership of Pastor Earl Abel. Lorene was a faithful member. She joined the ladies choir and also served on the greeters community until she became ill. Currently, the Pastor is James D. Watkins, Sr. Lorene would always talk about Pastor Watkins and the Associate Ministers, saying that they are true servants of God. Lorene got married to the love of her life in 1991, Rufus Antwine, Sr.
She had the perfect family, daughter Elisha Diane Booker and son, Rufus Antwine, Jr. (b.k.a. “JR”). Lorene leaves to cherish her precious memories of the home: Rufus Antwine, Sr. and son, Rufus Antwine, Jr. Also, she leaves her daughter, Elisha Booker, her mother Geraldine Booker, her sister Sharon Booker- Harris and brother-in-law, Kenny Harris. She leaves her brother’s
Michael Booker, James Booker, Steven and Gregory Cubit. She leaves her grand-daughter Ca’Teisha Lee and her great grand-daughter Za’Niya Lee, which called her “Lo-Lo”. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins,and friends.
