Keddrick Ardoin Obituary

Keddrick Jermaine Ardoin was born March 10, 1977, in Los Angeles, CA to Joseph Ardoin Jr. And Karol Joy Ardoin. Keddrick accepted Christ and was baptized an early age. He attended First Missionary Baptist Church, and he began his education at Victory Baptist Day School in Los Angeles. Keddrick was also a member of the Eastern Stars with his maternal grandmother, sister LaTaundra and cousin’s De Shon, Shonte’, and Rile (who transitioned before him). Keddrick was a good kid and very smart in school. He loved playing outside and spending time on 34th street with his grandparents, Aunt Menelva, sister, cousin and friends.

Keddrick received his last official schooling from Jefferson High School in Los Angeles, CA where he also played football for the Demos alongside his cousin Rile (Tookie) and together those two were a force to be reckoned with...on and off the field!

Keddrick lost his parents at an early age which made his walk here on Earth bittersweet, that walk took him many places and like anyone else there were highs and lows. He found a love for cooking that led him into the oil field of North Dakota in the man camps. He cooked for a couple of years then decided he wanted to be out in the field with the guys. In between that time in 2009, Keddrick welcomed his daughter, Thee Love of his Life Breaon Ardoin into the world and became an Awesome dad to her. He was briefly married to Brenda, and they eventually settled in Texas. He continued to work in the oil field until he decided to become an over-the-road truck driver. There was no stopping him then! In 2015 he met and fell in love with Keesha Odum and together he helped raise Kyle, Abrelynne, DaShawn, E’montae and 5 grandbabies Edward, DaKota, Aubrielle, Kalilah and Chicago who affectionately called him PaPa. Keddrick loved and was always dedicated to family. If he had it, you had it!

Upon his transitioning on November 24, he was still truck driving across the United States for his employers he truly loved-Move Happy

Keddrick always showed up and showed out; he was a Class Act! Always doing something for someone else. He will always be known for that Cali swag, big-kind heart, beautiful hazel eyes, his ability to make you laugh. Sometimes playing too much... He was just an All-around Great guy, Great father, Great brother, Great provider, nephew, cousin, and friend...He leaves behind 2 Aunts Rosetta Ardoin and Jerry Jean Ardoin, his daughter Breaon Ardoin, Sister LaTaundra Ardoin-Smith, 3 nephews whom he adored Dominic, Kevin, and Jalen, great-nephew Ja’Vion, cousin-brother DeShon Newsome, Cousin-sister Shonte’ Tippie all of Los Angeles. Girlfriend Keesha and family of Kansas City and a host of cousins and friends from California to Texas, to Louisiana. His family by love Charles (Trigg)Wilkerson and Nicki (Big Chunkz) Henderson and all his Eastside Family...He would want to say to them... Su Whoop!
