Kamari Hughes Obituary

Kamari Hughes, 23, was born February 19, 1997 to Kendrick Hughes and Lisa Redditt. He was born and raised in Kansas City, Mo. where he played RBI baseball, football, and basketball. At a very young age, he enjoyed assembling and painting toy model cars, this love for cars grew as he got older and, in his adulthood, he was a part of a motivational group known as the SMS boys in which he allowed people of all backgrounds to come together and enjoy slide shows.

Kamari graduated from Hogan Preparatory Academy in 2015. During his high school journey, he gave his life to Christ and then gave life to his beautiful daughter Kaniya in 2014, instantly becoming an amazing father. Always finding ways to provide for his family, he worked at Sweet Tomatoes, Painters Union, and O'Reilly's. His big dreams and determination allowed him to invest in his first tow truck; he was extremely proud to be his own boss.

Kamari was a kind, caring, selfless, and nurturing spirit. He was always willing and available to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He always wanted to see everybody win. He was the “bestest big brother” and the life of the party, he kept everyone around him laughing. Kamari could do many things others could not and his Papa even referred to him as the dog whisperer as he was amazingly talented in training dogs and kept his two dogs Scrappy and Princess with him all the time.

He was preceded in death by his Papa, William Miller and his Uncle Antonio (Tone) Hughes. He is survived by his daughter Kaniya (Adriana), his mother Lisa, bonus dad Lamar, his father Kendrick, his sisters Kamiya, Kaleya, Karli, Precious (Cody), Paige (Jay), and Ciera. His brothers Kaiden and Branden. His grandparents Linda, Esther, Robert, Louis and Teddy. His fur babies Scrappy and Princess and a host of other relatives and friends.
