Julius Sampson Jr.

Julius Sampson, Jr., 82, departed this life on May 20, 2022, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.  He was born on April 27, 1940, in Madison, Florida to Julius Sampson, Sr and Ellen Thomas Sampson.

 He grew up in Madison, Florida and received his basic education in the Public Schools in Madison County, Florida.

He began working for Florida Tile Industries as a Tile Maker where he worked for 10 years. He relocated to Orlando, Florida and began working for Hubbard Construction Company, where he worked for 35 years. Mr. Sampson also worked for Valencia College and retired after 27 years of service.

He married Shirley (Patterson) Sampson on February 1, 1968, in Lakeland, Florida.  They were happily married for 54 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Julius Sampson, Sr and Ellen Thomas Sampson; and three siblings: Willie Lee, Darnell Sampson, and Eugene Sampson.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife: Shirley Sampson; his son: Reginal Jerome Smith (Latina); his daughters: Rhonda Sampson-Wright (Billy) and Jasamine Jenise Sampson; his grandchildren: Arkeem Young, Tyrisha Chambers, Reginald Smith, Emman Wright, DeVante Wright, Jaylen Scruggs; six great grandchildren; his siblings: Cora E. Hudson, Samuel Sampson, Eula Gallon, Geraldine Miller (Alfred), Sallie Moore (Allen), Deborah Frazier (Harry), and Walter Sampson, and a host of other family and friends.
