Jessie Mae Scott received her wings on Sunday May 8th at the age of 77 at her home in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born on June 2, 1944 in Forest City, Arkansas to union of Jessie Scott and Iola Scott. Jessie Mae was eldest of 6 children. Alfred L Scott, Sr., Hazel L Scott, and Mattie L Scott (Patsy) all preceded her in death.
She grew up in Forest City, Arkansas where she attended and graduated from Forest City High School. There in Arkansas she gave birth to three of her four children; Linda, Elliott (preceded in death), and Lisa. She later moved to Kansas City where she then gave birth Virgil Jr.
Jessie Mae spent over 3 decades of her work career at Holland Nameplate where she operated print and grafting machines. After 37 years of service she retired.
In her free time, Jessie Mae enjoyed getting up early on weekend mornings and going to garage sales and swap n’ shop. She also enjoyed fishing, but most of all she enjoyed a good hand of spades and spending time with family and friends.
To cherish in her memory, Jessie Mae leaves behind two siblings; James (Bubba) E Scott and Randy J Scott; three children; Linda Allen (John), Lisa Rockett, and Virgil Cothran, Jr.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren as well as a host of relatives and friends.
