Obituary

Jerry Lee Jackson (Jazzy J), 78, went to be with the Lord on July 26, 2022. She was born on May 6, 1944 in Rosedale, Kansas to Jerry and Mary Bailey. She grew up in Rosedale, Kansas and later moved to Kansas City, MO. She was a devoted member of God’s Mission Church. Evangelist Jerry Lee Jackson was passionate about baking, cooking, and helping others. She would personally cook holiday dinners to feed her community every year. She touched so many lives and will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and everyone who knew her.

She was preceded into death by her parents: Jerry and Mary Bailey; four brothers: Charles McDonald, Shannon McDonald, Eddy Bailey, and James Bailey; two sisters: Carrie Blewett and Betty Jackson. 

She leaves behind her children  Mary Caldwell (Joseph Caldwell) and Anastasia Jackson; her sister Colleen Cain (Joda Cain); Her grandchildren: Jasmine Velarde (Jose Velarde), Jolecia Caldwell, J’Lonna Jackson, Jada Jackson, Justice Woods, (sugar dumpling) Jaiden Woods; Great grandchild: (Papi) Jose Carlos Velarde Jr.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
