Janis Eason-Moore Obituary

Janis Eason – Moore, 69, passed away on February 13, 2020 at Olathe Hospice House, in Olathe, Kansas. She was born on June 13, 1950 in Mobile, Alabama to Clint T. Robertson and Ethel Jean Robertson. She grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from Central High School in Kansas City. She attended college in St. Louis, Missouri where she received a BS & BA in Nursing/English. She began working for Children’s Mercy Hospital as a nurse where she worked for 10 years until her retirement in 2014 Her work history continued at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City for over 15 years, where she became licensed as an Insurance Agent. She became an Insurance Broker with Robert D. O’Byrne & Associates, which later became CBIZ where she retired.

She was preceded in death by both parents; her grandmother, Iwilla Wiseman; her younger brother Clint Timothy Robertson; and her first husband of 32 years, Henry Eason Sr.

She leaves to grieve her passing, her husband of 9 years, Kenneth Moore. She is survived by, her sister, Veronica Louise Robertson “Sissy” of Kansas City, Missouri.

She also leaves her love and legacy with her children: sons, Vincent Robertson (Susana) of Olathe KS, Henry L. Eason Jr. (Tiffany) of Kansas City, MO., Victor Robertson of Moreno Valley, CA., and godson Charles Fischer; her daughters, Valrie Robertson-Smith (Eric Smith Sr.), Candace M. Eason (Troy), Racquel Adams, and Megan Robertson “niece”; her sister/best friend for 65 years, Jan McDonald of Marietta, Georgia; 19 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren with one on the way, whom all call her “Ma-Mee”; and her first cousins, Barbara Okonkowa and Larry Hill of Los Angeles, CA and Las Vegas Nevada.
