James Johnson

James R. Johnson, 81 of Grandview, Missouri departed this life on February 14, 2021 at Research Hospital.

He was born on November 27, 1939 in Ringold Louisiana to Richard and Elnora Johnson. He was the third of five children.

He attended and graduated from Webster Highschool, Minden, LA in 1959. In 1961 he joined the military where he served until 1964.

He moved to Kansas City, Missouri and was employed by ‘Mobil Oil’ where he remained until retirement. During this time, he attended Penn Valley College where he earned his degree.

James was proceeded in death by his parents, and three brothers: Vernon, Milton, and Alvin.

He is survived by his son (of the home), Marcus Johnson (His Mother, Mae Holmes). One sister, Rozera Edd of Silver Spring, Maryland. One sister-in-law, Mattie Johnson of Kansas City Missouri, four nephews and one niece, and long time friends across the country.
