Ivy Anderson Obituary

Ivy Denise Anderson entered this world on November 20, 1956 and left for her eternal home on January 25, 2024 in Columbia, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by her mother: Jodie Green, step-father: William Green, Sr., sister: Paula Mitchell, and brother: Marvin Allen, Jr.

She was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri, School district and graduated from Central High School.   She worked as a housekeeper at Research Medical Center for over 20 years until retirement.   She was later employed at Swope Health and Costco.

Affectionately known as "Niecy", she was apart of an elite shopping crew with her mom Jodie and sister Paula called the real "Golden Girls". She would often travel to family reunion with her crew. She loved nothing more in life than her family and they will miss her so deeply.

Before her departure to Columbia, she was a faithful member of the Community Praise Worship and World Outreach Center under the leadership of Pastor Eartherline Downs.

To everyone: she was getting married...  And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Matthew 25:6.

Ivy is survived by her (2) sons: Kevin Anderson (Columbia, MO) and Shawn Bingham (Houston, TX).  Six grandchildren: Xavier, Tia, Julian, Kevin Jr., Josiyah, Zeyona, and a special stuffed bear named "PJ".  Brothers: Troy Allen (Phoenix, AZ), William (Bernice) Green (Houston, TX), Julius "Andre" Green (KCMO).
