Harvey Lee Fields was born on April 29, 1944, to Sam Patrick Fields and Juanita Pater in Pauls Valley Oklahoma. He was the oldest of six siblings.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; and sisters, Doris Hill, Sharla Goodloe, and Louis Jean Fields.
He graduated from Central High School in Kansas City, Missouri. While in high school Harvey was an avid basketball player. He enjoyed watching all sports on TV and worked out at the gym regularly. He also loved to go fishing. He was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kansas. Later he joined New Life Bethel in Olathe Kansas. He loved the Lord, he always talked about him. Harvey worked at Baptist Memorial Hospital and at Certain Teed Fiberglass where he retired after 40 years.
Harvey married Betty Loretha Fields, whom he loved dearly, on July 28, 2010. He took very good care of her, always saying, “We love and need each other, I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
Harvey departed this life Friday, July 28, 2021, at home surrounded by family.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 11 years, Betty L. Fields; children, Carleen Fields, Michelle Fields, and Harvey Fields; brothers, Earnest Lightsey, and Marcus Fields; sisters, Gina Lightsey, and Carolyn Bray; grandson, Christopher Lawson; granddaughter, Brittany Lawson; stepchildren, Anna Owens, Diana Brown, Cynthia McKinnis, and Rita Brock; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
