Harrold Edward Sias Jr., lovingly referred to as “BOO”, was born on December 8, 1987, in Kansas City, Kansas at KU Medical Center to Valerie Pettus-Sias and Harrold Edward Sias Sr. He was referred to as Boo by his maternal family and was given that nickname by his oldest brother, Damon. Harrold lived in Chicago with his parents, siblings and extended family from 1988-1992. Harrold graduated from Hickman Mills High School in Kansas City, Missouri in 2006. He received various Certificate of Merit Awards from Elementary through High School including but not limited to; Honor Roll, Scholastic Reading Awards, Perfect Attendance, and Jazz Band Awards (trumpet). Harrold and went on to graduate from Lincoln Tech Auto Diesel College in Nashville Tennessee where he received his Associates Degree in Automobile Mechanics. In 2009, he joined Refreshing Waters Worship Center.
Harrold was full of charm and charisma. He loved to laugh and always had a smile on his face. Harrold was a pure soul who carried a kind heart. He was also mischievous at times but good-natured. He had an affinity for cars and trucks, especially Chevys, mechanics, video games, beef jerky, gummy candies, shoes, nice clothing and holidays-especially Christmas. Harrold would often rep both Chicago and Kansas City. He always rooted for the Kansas City Chiefs and Chicago Bulls. He held a love for Chicago close to his heart. Harrold loved spending time with family and loved his daughters abundantly.
Harrold was preceded in death by his daughter, Harmony Sias; maternal grandparents, Eugene and Barbara Pettus; paternal grandparents, Edward and Leola Sias; and his uncle, Terry Pettus.
Harrold is survived by his father, Harrold Edward Sias Sr; his mother, Valerie Pettus Sias; Michael Horne, Louise; his daughters, Graycin Sias, Haley Sias, and Naomi Sias; his brothers, Damon and Terrence Pettus; his sister, Christina Pettus; his nephew, Ta’rhel Lockett; his aunts Vernita Sias-Hill and Patricia Sias; his uncles, Michael and Phillip Sias; his great aunts, Thelma Collins, and Gladys Blackshire, and a host of cousins and friends.
