Gregory J Harper,41 departed his life on March 15,2021 at a Research Medical Center. He was born on July 18,1979 to Jerome Gregory Bedford and Melody Lousie Harper in Kansas City, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather: Toy Bedford; paternal grandmother: Pearlie Bedford; maternal grandfather: Leroy Harper; maternal grandmother: Edwnia Parker; and cousin: Mikah Briggs.
Gregory Harper known as "Greg" and "Eggie" to family and friends and anyone who knew him. He graduated from Southwest High School. He worked at Walkers food, DST, and the United Postal Services as a Mail Carrier for over ten years. He accepted Christ at a early age and was a member of Hands of Christ Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Toy Bedford.
Greg was a loving caring husband and father who loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He enjoyed playing basketball with his friends and was in several leagues throughout his childhood. He was dedicated in attending his boys basketball games and looked forward to giving them feedback. He loved hanging with his family/friends, and always made any event fun. He loved to laugh, tell jokes and enjoyed going to comedy shows. He loved attending barbecues and hanging out at our childhood park. He was a hard worker and loved being a mail carrier, in which he made many friends along his route. He was an all round family guy that always looked out for his mother, brother, sister, cousins, nephews and nieces.
Gregory leaves to cherish his life his loving wife: Alexia Harper; two daughters: Alexiauna Harper and Asiana Harper; three sons: Ge'Shawn Harper, Gregory Harper Jr. and Ge'Ron Harper; two grandsons: Ryan Martinez and Hayden West: father; Jerome (Bessie)Bedford; mother: Melody Harper; mother in law: Angela ( Alexander)Valentine; one brother; Dale (Aishas) Harper; one sister: Jenell Harper; two step brothers: Steven Pace and Cortez Pace; one step sister: Wahkinna(Carl) Preston; two brother in laws: Aj and Dre Valentine: two uncles: Darryl Bedford and Anthony Harper; three aunts: Sabrina Bedford, MaQuieta Bedford, and LaVera Prewitt; his loving cousins: Kristy Bedford, Katrina Bedford and Jeffery Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, little cousins, and special friends.
