Sis. Gloria Mosby, was born on December 25,1941 to the parents of Joseph and Helen Coleman in Aubrey, Arkansas.
Both of her parents, her husband, her sister, and two brothers preceded her in death. The Lord called her home on Thursday August 15, 2019.
Gloria's formal education consisted of attending elementary and high school in Arkansas and Memphis, Tennessee. She received a BA Degree from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in Business, a degree in Math from the University of Missouri at Columbia, Missouri, and attended many classes and seminars to keep current in her career endeavors.
On August ll,1963, Gloria married her high school sweetheart, Leotis Mosby, and they remain married for 39 years until his death. God entrusted a precious soul into their care, a son, Roderick Alan Mosby.
Gloria was baptized into Christ in November of 1965 at the 39th Street congregation with Bro. Marion Holt, Sr. as minister. She love the Lord and remained faithful to Him and His work until her transition. She was involved in visiting the sick and shut-in, personal work, Education Department, New Inspiration Singing Group, Benevolence and Prison Ministry. She was working in these capacities for more than 40 years. She also worked with our Outreach Program in Education.
She retired from Bishop Hogan High School where she taught Business and Math. She also taught in the Kansas City Missouri School District, and at Platte College in the Business Department.
Gloria leaves to mourn her passing, her son Roderick (Trena) (Kansas City), her grandson Adrian (New York), her granddaughter Aliyah (Kansas City), one sister, Blanchie (Eddie) (Kansas City), and a host of nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, a god daughter Marsha Gail Moore, a god grandaughter, Kamryn William and a host of loving relatives and friends.
