Eural Lyles Obituary

Eural Lyles, Jr. was born on September 3, 1945 in Nettleton, Mississippi to Essie Bell Daniels Lyles and Eural Lyles, Sr. He departed this life on June 16, 2020 in Wichita, Kansas, surrounded by his family. Both parents and his only sibling, John Henry Walton, Jr. preceded him in death.

Eural, Junior as he was affectionately known, accepted Christ at an early age and was educated in the Nettleton Mississippi school system. In 1963, Junior married his childhood friend, Maxine Baker Lyles. There were eight children born to this union. Prior to their move to Kansas City, Junior was an officer with the Monroe County, Mississippi Police Department. Junior and Maxine remained married until her death in 1977. Junior worked for Clay and Bailey Manufacturing Company in Kansas City, Missouri as a welder. In 1981,

Junior married Caroline Bobo Lyles. There was one child born to this union. Junior later ventured out to begin his own tow service, and later, a food truck. Junior was a man of few words. He was serious but fun-loving, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, family gatherings, and listening to music. Blues was his favorite! Junior was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing large meals for his family until his health failed. Junior was a hard worker by nature and was respected by all who knew him. His command presence could be felt even into his latter years. He remained strong right until the very end.

Junior leaves the following loved ones to cherish his memory: his wife Caroline Lyles of the home; his children: Alicia Briggs (Neive) of Memphis, Tennessee; Tony Lyles (Shannon), Jerry Lyles, Tammy Anderson (Ronald), and Shelia Lyles-Hammons (Tony) of Kansas City, Missouri; Bernard Morris of Wren, Mississippi; Bridgette Lyles, Crystal Lyles and Brian Lyles of Kansas City, Missouri; Eural Lyles III of Wichita, Kansas; and Eurick Washington of Kansas City, Missouri; two step-daughters Tyisha Washington of Kansas City, Missouri and Corrynn Bobo of Dallas, Texas; a special grandson and best friend Brandon Baker; 27 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
