Emma Jean Winters, 60, passed away on November 12, 2020 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City. Missouri. She was born on January 12, 1960 in Kansas City, Missouri to Jim Winters and Versell Winters.
She grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and graduated from West High School. She began working for City Wide as a Janitor, where she worked for four years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, maternal and fraternal grandparents; aunt, Susie Lottie; five brothers, Albert Lottie, Johnny Jim, Jr., Gary Winters. And Damon Winters; her daughter, LaTonya Winters; two nephews, Jamagio Berryman and Twashon Wilkins.
She is survived by her fiancé, Michael Joplin; her daughter, LaTasha Winters; two sisters, Lenora and LaVerna Winters; three brothers, Robert, Tyrone, and Cecil Winters (Kameela); five grandchildren, Eriyasha, Ere’Shay, Imani (Josh) Winters, and Dre’Shiyon Sherrils; two grandsons, Marquan Muhammad and Shaun Flint, Jr; three great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Betts, Prince Eli, and Heiress Elaine Hammett; four nephews, Benson (Tenisha), Rolondo, Domoneke Winters, and Rahman Holder; nine nieces, Renata, Patricia, and Renita Winters, Christina Nevels, Mikayla, Shayla Winters, Omesha Wilkins, Artie Ested, Mintoya Mayhue, Tamika Nora; two aunts, Melinda Hollins and Yolanda Lottie; eight cousins, Ricky, Annette, Terry (Mel), Yolanda (Pudgy), Michael and Marcus Lottie, Tanika (Nate) and Stacey Hollins; and one honorary son, Ed Gilliam.
