Elnora Bilberry

Elnora McKinney Bilberry was born in West Helena, Arkansas on August 8, 1945 to S.A. (Becky) McKinney (deceased) and Elnora Goldsberry McKinney(deceased).  Elnora graduated from Eliza Miller High School in 1964 in West Helena, Arkansas. After achieving her Cosmetology license at the school of Cosmetology in Pine Bluff,  Arkansas, she moved to Kansas City, Kansas where she met and married Hubbert Bilberry and from their union bore eight children. 

Elnora Bilberry was determined to pursue her career goal of becoming a nurse while raising a family.  She earned her certification as a License Practical Nurse at the Area Vocational Technical School in Kansas City, Kansas.  She worked two full time jobs in the nursing field until she was hired as an LPN at the VA Hospital in Leavenworth, KS where she retired after 32 years of service.  Even with her full schedule, she managed to always study the Word of God and teach about the love of God every where she went.  She was a faithful member of Madden Temple COGIC while raising her children and later moved her membership to Evangelistic Center COGIC and served as a Missionary and Mother on the Missionary Board.  She also loved to sing in the Church choir and participated in a Gospel group called The Fayette Gospel Singers who recorded and released two Gospel albums.  Upon retirement she accepted her call to full time ministry where she served as Founder and Senior Pastor of United Family Worship Center until her death. 

She leaves wonderful memories to cherish with Hubbert Bilberry and their children, (son) Herbert Bilberry Jr., wife Rosa, (daughter) Starr Leonard, husband Will, (son) Timothy Bilberry, wife Mechelle, (daughter) Tammy Liggins, husband Cortez, (daughter) Katina Bilberry, (son) Jeremy Bilberry, wife Kesta, (daughter) Holly Bilberry, (son) Kevin Bilberry, wife Enishika.  

She also leaves wonderful memories to cherish of her siblings, Josephine McKinney, West Helena, AR, S.A. McKinney Jr. (deceased), Wilma Brimley, Milwaukee, WI, husband David, Florida McKinney, Milwaukee, WI, Wilson McKinney (deceased), Estella Grissom, Edmond, OK, husband Wayne, Anthony McKinney, West Helena, AR, Ronnie McKinney, West Helena, AR, Sharon McKinney, Mesquite, TX, Aaron McKinney, Edmond, OK, Calvin McKinney, Portege, Wi, Carol Jones, Milwaukee, WI, husband Darrell and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, close relatives and friends.
