Edwina Louise Parker, 75, passed away on October 1, 2020 at Hidden Lake Care Center, in Raytown, Missouri. She was born on June 10, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri to Edward Doolin and Inez Doolin. She grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and graduated from Central High School class of "61”. After high school she attended Penn Valley College in Kansas City, Missouri where she obtained an associate degree in Education.
She began working for the Federal Government as a Mail Handler where she worked for 18 years. She retired in 1995 after 30 years. She attended St Stephens then later a faithful member of Cleveland Avenue Baptist Church. She served on the Hospitality Committee, Mission board, and sung in the Golden Angel choir and Mass Choir. She loved teaching so much she was a Sunday School and Bible study teacher. She also used to be a sub teacher at Martin Luther King School.
Edwina married Robert Parker on December 22nd in Kansas City, Missouri. They were happily married for 5 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Inez Doolin; husband Robert Parker; two sisters Mary Wilson, Bobbie Miller; two brothers David Doolin, Phillip Doolin.
Edwina leaves to cherish her memories, her four children Melody Harper, LaVera Prewitt (Duane), Anthony Harper (Keonna), Bianca Stepheson (Derrick) all of Kansas City, Missouri; Aunt Ernestine Mitchell of Kansas City, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; four brother Larry Doolin (Terrie) of Kansas City, Missouri, Donald Doolin (Amanda) of Kansas City, Missouri, Dwight Doolin of Minnesota, Kenneth Doolin of St. Joseph, Missouri; and a host of other relatives and friends.
