Earl Watson Obituary

Earl Cortez Watson was born on July 31, 1983 to Denise Watson and Jackie Flowers (father who preceding him in death). Also preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Bonnie Logan and Jack Hunter; maternal grandmother, Ima Jean La Val; aunt, Latonya Flowers; nephew, Anthony Watson, and his uncle, Earl Watson, whom he was named after.

His formal education was received through Kansas City, Missouri Public School District and later acquired his GED. Earl worked several trades throughout his life. Some of his favorite hobbies were cooking, singing and rapping. He was set to release his second rap CD this month. He performed weekly at Roxy Bar and Prohibition Hall.

Earl accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. He was a member of the 35th St Missionary Baptist Church, Kansas City, Mo., under the leadership of Pastor R. C. Black. He had a change in his life and became closer to God.

Earl was a family man. The short time that he had was often spent with his children. He leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Denise Watson; sisters, Twania Watson, Tiona Watson, Tanya Star; two brothers, Marcell and Lonell Flowers; his children, Devinn, Heavinn, and Haevinn Watson - all of independence, Mo., Milisha Butner (Marshall, Mo.) and Tanee Williams; grandfather, Robert Watson and grandmother, Mary Hawthorne (Kansas City, KS); aunts Sherry Londo-Thomas (Denver, CO.), Vanessa (Aunt Kaye) Woods, JuJuan LaVal, Andrea (Jeanette) LaVal, Tona Flowers, Tammy Flowers, (CA.) Sherrell Flowers (MN.); uncles Robert Watson (Desta), Dewayne, Lloyd and Ricky Flowers (all of MN.); special nieces, Lyric and Zaniah Brown, Victoria, Breanna, nephews, Lewis, Anthony, and Xavier, favorite cousins, Nicky, Deanthony, Jimmy, Deion, Pierre, and Shontay; two god-daughters, Rayne and Londyn Woods; his fiancé', Tiffani Williams, and the mother of his children, Latoya Surry; a special love for Theresa Smith; as well as many other family and friends.
