Mrs. Drucella Williams departed this life on February 09, 2021 at Ignite Medical Resort in Kansas City, Missouri. Born October 07, 1927 to Angie Carter and Christopher Columbus Carter Sr. in Cotton Valley, Louisiana.
Mrs. Williams attended Hopewell Community School, and at the age of 16, she married her sweetheart Ally Williams Sr. in November of 1943 to their union 11 children were born. She worked at Whispering Pines Nursing Home in Plain Dealing, Louisiana and later retiring from Fountain View Nursing Home & Rehab in Springhill, Louisiana. As always, she continued to do Private Duty Home Health Care until the age of 74 years old.
Mrs. Williams accepted Christ as her personal Savior at a young age and served the Lord faithfully. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church of Cotton Valley, Louisiana for well over 70 years. Mrs. Williams sang in the choir, and served on the Mission's Ministry until her health weakened and she relocated to Southaven, Mississippi to live with her beloved daughter Voncile Williams. She was a passionately loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and Aunt. She loved baking her second-to-none pound cakes and lemon pies.
Mrs. Williams is preceded in death by her husband, Ally Williams Sr., two daughters, Allie Mae & Margaret Ann, one son, Ally Williams, Jr., both parents; mother, Angie Carter, and father, Christopher Columbus Carter Sr., five brothers, Lee Wilson Carter, Andy Carter, Christopher Columbus Carter Jr., Odell Carter (Hattie Lucy) and Joe Louis Carter (Rosie Mae), one sister Annie McLinn.
Mrs. Williams leaves behind three sisters; Mozell Jacobs, Angie McKinney (Robert) and Myra Burns; eight children, Joyce Cullen (James), Drue Andrew (Sandra), John Nelson (Patricia), Lorenzo, Fred (Patty), Dennis Ray (Sylvia), Voncile and Baby boy Darnell (Bo-Bo). She also leaves behind 28 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
