Derek L. Henderson was born 12/08/1979 to Kim P. Henderson & Donald Rozelle in Kansas City, Missouri. Derek played little league football under his late head coach Benny Shelby through the South Suburban Junior Football Association. He attended Northeast middle where he met one of his closet friends Derhon Jenkins before moving on to Northeast High School up until his junior year. At the age of 16 Derek moved to Clearwater, Utah where he attended Job Corps, finished high school and acquired his diploma from Great Basin High along with his plastering certificate through Job Corps.
Derek pursued multiple career avenues that allowed to travel all over, from his time as a Merchant Marine to his time along side Charlie at the Party Shop on Prospect. He eventually found his passion, enrolled in barber college and began to touch the lives of so many. He made his home just a couple chairs up from the owner JB who would become like a brother to him at Turn-N-Headz barber shop in Blue Springs, Missouri. Derek was best known for his inseparable love for the Raiders which was only matched by his hate for the Chiefs, his smart remarks but too cool personality. Derek was particular about his appearance and made sure his line was straight and he was fly like a cape.
