I, Denine Latrece Grimes, was born in Kansas City, Missouri on September 2, 1974. I was the first-born to Michael Gildon & Detricia Grimes. I was introduced to Christ at an early age.
I was a graduate of East High School Class of 1992. From there I worked as a licensed Cosmetologist before becoming a Medical Assistant. I worked at 7-Highway Chiropractor while studying to become a Registered Nurse at National American University.
I loved to spend time with my family and friends. I spent time with my closest friends traveling to wineries across Missouri. I was known for my unique and bold styles, rocking a low haircut, my variety of sunglasses and my big, bold, beautiful earrings, many of which I created through my business, Leathers & Feathers.
My son Brandon McCord, my father Michael Gildon, my maternal grandmother, Susie Shelton, my aunts, Debra Reece and Sharon “Patsy” James, my uncles, Ronald Grimes and Johnnie Williams, and my Godmother Willa Mae Stuart all preceded me in death.
I leave to cherish my loving parents: Lawrence & Detricia Williamson; my daughter: Damiah D McCord; my brother: Kalem Williamson (Ashley); my five sisters: Leticia Roberson (Maurice), Desiree Williamson, Shannon Carter, Chiquita Townsend, and Mikell Gildon; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Due to COVID-19, please respect social distancing and face covering guidelines. Temperature checks will be enforced.
