Darlene Sheard

Mrs. Darlene Verana Sheard was born September 12, 1932 in Wilson, Arkansas to the late Paul and Edna Mae Harris.

She attended Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Osceola, AR and was baptized at the age of 15 in the Gulf of the Mississippi River.

She attended Rosenwald High School in Oseola, AR.

In 1951 she relocated to Kansas City, MO.

On March 18, 1966 Darlene was united in matrimony to the late Mr. Shedrick Matthew Sheard.

She was a member of the New Solid Rock Missionary Baptist Church in Kansas City under the leadership of Rev. Harvey White.

Darlene loved Kansas City. She was a dedicated employee and worked several jobs throughout the Kansas City Metropolitan area until she was 80 years old.

Mrs. Darlene Sheard died July 23, 2022 and leaves to cherish her memory two sisters, Paullene Lewis and Irma Speed; five children, Robert Harris, Shelia Gantt, Marlene Gantt, Patrick Sheard, and Tracey Adams; eight grandchildren, Shelley Washington, Daurena Clardy, Kameela Winters, Edhenry Bolden, Ciera Johnson, Armoni Mosby, Malia Adams and Maya Adams; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends
