Carol Johnson

Carrol Susan Johnson was born on, October 26, 1953 to the union of Kenneth A. and Joyce L. Fuller in Middlesex, VT. Carol traveled extensively as she was born in a military family.  One of her fondest memories was life in Alaska. 

She was a paraplegic having survived an accident as a pedestrian from an 18 wheeler. It left her partially paralyzed on one side.  Even after her accident Carol believed that she would meet a loving husband and she did!  In Portland, Oregon Carol met and married the love of her life, John L. Johnson. They moved back to his hometown of Kansas City, MO were they became dedicated Bible students and members of Southside Christian Church.  She enjoyed singing with her husband, fellowship and worship.  Carol and her husband studied and prayed early every morning before sunrise and formed a prayer ministry by phone.

Carol loved to hug and never complained about her disabilities.  She would go for her morning walks/exercise rain or shine.  Often she stated that weather was no issue to her because she lived in Alaska.  She was known by city workers and bus drivers. They would honk and she would wave and smile.

Recently, Carol was placed in-home/hospice care.  Her husband was her primary care giver although he suffered debilitating disabilities also.  They were looking forward to their 35th Wedding Anniversary which would have been on her birthday. She was her husband’s greatest cheerleader. They did everything together. She and her husband were found deceased in the home of natural causes on September 22, 2021 by a family member. 

She is sadly missed by: Linda Sanderson, Rebecca Johnson, and Laura (Chet) Hullum, Johnetta Matthews, Crystal (Demond) Ammons, Darrell (Ashley) Wyatt II, Chessica Davis, Judah Ammons, Zion Ammons, and a host of other family, church members, neighbors and friends.
