Brandon Kayhill Obituary

Brandon F. Kayhill, aka “Big Bran.” Was born on March 19, 1982 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri to Dolan Kayhill and Janice Goudeau-Kayhill.  He grew up in Olathe, Kansas where he attended Olathe Public School, graduated from Olathe East high School, and attended Butler Community College in Eldorado, Kansas.

Brandon Accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Dr. Cecil A. Poe and was baptized by Dr. Bobby L. Love, Sr. at the Second Baptist Church of Olathe.

Brandon was a peoples’ person, always offering his help, even when health issues would arise; that didn’t stop him.  He would just say in that deep, deep voice of his, “I GOT THIS.”  He had a few health issues as a baby but was nursed into a healthy toddler by his godmother: the late Barbara Wesley, who he affectionately called “Nonnie” and her husband: Meldon Wesley was called “Big Daddy.” They loved them some Brandon Kayhill; taking him on their travels and vacations all over the United States.

Brandon worked the family business; Kayhill’s Super Kleen Plus for years and presently was employed by Anderson Metals in Kansas City, Missouri as a shipping manager.  He was most known by the security work he did all over the Kansas City Metro area.  This was the life he loved; making sure everyone was safe and okay.

Those left to cherish his memories are his parents: Dolan Kayhill and Janice Goudeau-Kayhill of Muskogee, Oklahoma; brother: Marlon Kayhill (Rebecca); nieces: Moriah Kayhill, Bianca Kayhill, Sofia Ross; nephew: Dallas Kayhill; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, his crew that he grew up in church with and remained inseparable into adulthood: Bobby Love II, JaJuan Turner, and Darren Sproles; last but not least, a HUGE NUMBER OF GREAT FRIENDS.
