Bishop Eddie Liedtke Obituary

Bishop Eddie Ray Liedtke was born on January 4, 1952.  He was adopted into the Royal Family of God and baptized under the late Bishop A.L. Boyd in the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, where he received most of his spiritual training.  After being baptized with the Holy Ghost he became a member of the choir and in 1975 was ordained as a minister of the gospel.

In 1985, Bishop Liedtke met the late Bishop Charles N. Slayton, the Founder and Pastor of Grace Spiritual Temple.  Bishop Slayton discerned the many gifts of the Holy Ghost within Bishop Liedtke and began to work and develop those gifts by placing him over the Alter and as his understudy.  Eager to use his gifts, Bishop Liedtke worked with other ministries to help the entire body of Christ.

Using his spiritual compass to touch many lives in every aspect of his existence, Bishop Liedtke worked for Resource Development Institute, a position that is a direct manifestation of a prophetic word he received from Apostle Payne in November 1995, when he was told that God was going to use man’s job to further prepare him for ministry.  Bishop Liedtke worked extensively providing services to those with mental health problems as well as those on probation and parole with substance abuse problems.  He also worked at Western Missouri and other organizations in the Kansas City metro area.

January 2010 due to health issue, Bishop Slayton, Founder and Pastor of New Life Spiritual Temple, appointed Bishop Liedtke as President and Pastor of New Life Spiritual Temple, transferring all power and authority.  Unable to perform the Pastoral Installation service himself, Bishop Liedtke was formally installed as pastor of New Life Spiritual Temple by Bishop McAdams in September 2010.  Bishop Liedtke was elevated to Elder in May 2011.

August 1, 2014, Archbishop Anthony Q. Hill prophesied to Elder Liedtke the final and only corroboration he would ever need regarding to his call as a bishop.  Archbishop Hill spoke of several other things to Bishop Liedtke that only God could have uttered to him.  September 14, 2014, the Holy Feast day of St. Laurence O Toole, Archbishop Anthony Q. Hill issued a proclamation announcing the consecration and elevation of Elder in full Apostolic succession to the sacred office of Bishop. On November 6, 2020, our heavenly Father softly whispered to Bishop Liedtke, “Come unto me…I will give you rest and sent forth His Angeles to take him home. Bishop Liedtke’s memory will be cherished by the members of the New Life Spiritual Temple, especially his babies, and a host of other Churches, and friends.
