Beverly Edwards

Beverly Ross-Edwards was born March 2, 1953 at Wheatley Hospital to Henry L Ross and Opal Ross. Both parents and her sister, Bernice Shavers all preceded her in death. She attended D.A. Holmes Elementary School, Central Jr. High, and Lincoln Senior graduating in the class of 1970. While attending Lincoln Sr., she participated in numerous activities such as, Pep Club, Latin Club, Vocal Music Choir, and various other activities. While excelling in her school’s work and activities, Beverly worked as a Candy Striper at Research Medical. Upon graduating from high school, she attended UMKC.

After graduation the adventures began when Beverly met and married Chester L. Williams. The two would enjoy growing and building together. Completing this blended union were two sons Eric D Williams (Tracy) and Christopher A Williams (Teresa). Later in life, Beverly continued her story by adding Archie Edwards, her final love, and his son Reginald Edwards.

Beverly was a member of the Eastern Star, an active church member of Friendship Baptist Church, and an active member of Lincoln High School’s Class of 1970 Alumni Association. Beverly loved to shop, and host family gatherings, always opening her heart and home to everyone for holidays, birthdays, and “just because”. Beverly was a classy woman that loved her bling. She was funny, but firm when necessary. She adored her family, especially her grandchildren.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband Archie Edwards, two brothers Robert Brown (Barbara), Paul Brown (Mary), and her sister Eloise Roquemore. Her sons Eric Williams (Tracy), Chris Williams (Teresa), and Reginald Edwards (Randi); 7 grandchildren DeAundre Williams, Dominique Williams, Wonyea Edwards, Rickey Smith II, Donovan Edwards, Carmen Williams, and Bella Williams; 5 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, bonus children, and close friends.
