Bettie Jewell (Palmer) Perkins, 79, was born in Morrilton, Arkansas on, December 5, 1941, to the late Mr. Commodore and Essie Maxell Palmer.
Bettie was the tenth of twelve children. She gave her life to Christ at an early age in Morrilton, AR. Bettie and family moved to Kansas City, MO during her early years, and she resided here ever since. She attended schools in the Kansas City, Missouri Public School system, where she graduated from Lincoln High School. Bettie joined hands in marriage to the late Mr. Donald L. Perkins, Sr., on, April 18, 1969.
She worked at St. Joseph Hospital as a Central Supply Technician.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Lloyd Palmer, Roosevelt Palmer, Bobby Palmer, and Billie Palmer; sisters, Stella Palmer, Rose Mary Traylor, Earselean Palmer, and Earnestine Thompson; nephews, Larry J. Palmer, Kortez Jimenez, Daunte Jimenez, Marcus Jimenez, Garry L. Thompson, Jr., and Robiell Avila.
Bettie had various hobbies such as, crafting, pottery, upholstery, and traveling. She also loved collecting clowns.
She departed this life on, October 5, 2021, where she will meet with her family members on the other side.
Bettie leaves and will be forever remembered by her sister, Johneast Palmer; stepchildren, Donald L. Perkins, Jr.(Eloise) of Palm Harbor, FL, Michael L. Perkins (Debra) of Valdosta, Georgia; Ethel Marie Winchester (Wayne) of Kansas City, MO, Rupert K. Perkins, Sr., of Gladstone, MO, and Jackeé Baker, of Raytown, MO; sister in law, Lois Palmer of Grandview, MO; loving nephew, Lyle Terrell, of Ellisville, MO; loving niece, Maria Jimenez, of Kansas City, MO, a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
