Angeline Moore Obituary

Angie Moore, passed away peacefully and surrounded by the love of her family on November 19, 2020 at Saint Luke’s East Hospital in Lees Summit, MO. She made her Grand Entrance on October 30, 1966 in Kansas City, MO to the union of Henry Bluford and Johnnie Mildred Bluford. She accepted God in her life at an early age and was baptized with her sisters.

Angie grew up in Kansas City, MO. She graduated from Southeast High School in 1984 where she was known for her athletic prowess in various sports, especially basketball and track and field, which both earned her multiple scholarships even after suffering a knee injury and having a baby.

Angie was a hard worker with an unmatched work ethic. She worked for Peterson Manufacturing for 18 years where she started as a machine operator and worked her way up to becoming a Supervisor, only separating by way of early retirement in 2008 to focus on her health and family.

Angie was best known for her unsurpassable love for her children, family, and friends. She had one of the most distinct voices with a tone like none other. Anytime she spoke, the spotlight shined on her. Angie treasured bringing her family together with her amazing cooking, which she did despite any ongoing health issues she was experiencing. So many people would gravitate towards her magnetic personality due to her wittiness, charm, style, and ability to bring laughter to any room. Angie especially loved being a devoted grandma to her grandchildren, she affectionately referred to as her “Chewie” and “Man Man”.

Angie was preceded in death by her parents Henry Bluford and Johnnie Mildred Bluford, sister Collette Bluford, and brother Michael Bluford.

Angie is survived by her husband Zackery T. Moore Sr. whom she’s been separated from for many years, her partner Charles R. Jones of 11 years, sons Zackery T. Moore Jr. and Zavior Moore, daughter Deja Higgins, siblings Gerald Bluford, Stanley Bluford, David Bluford, Dwayne Bluford, Kim Bluford-Brooks (Terry Brooks), and Sherita Bluford, and granddaughter Raegan Moore and grandson Zackery T. Moore III and a host of family and dear friends.
